In Short: Playto gives your business the technology and a dedicated account to collect payments from customers worldwide, and your payment partner settles the money directly to your account. For your account, Playto is your technology provider, not the seller. This page is for high-value UAE merchants. Smaller UAE merchants are covered by the Global Business terms. 1. Who we are and what this covers

Playto is operated by Sanhik Roy Industries Private Limited. Playto lets your business collect payments from customers around the world and receive the money in your business bank account. This document covers both the pricing and the terms for your account.

2. How your account works (technology platform)

For your account, Playto acts as your technology provider. We give you the dashboard and a dedicated account with a licensed payment partner. Your payment partner collects the payment and settles it directly to your business bank account. You invoice your own clients in your own business name. Playto is not the seller and is not a party to the sale between you and your clients.

Example: You raise an invoice to your client for $5,000 in your own business name. Your client pays through your Playto account, and the payment partner settles the money directly to your bank.

Playto is not responsible for delivering your products or services, which remains your job. You confirm you are allowed to sell what you sell.

3. Who can use Playto, and what we need from you

To use Playto, your business must be legally registered in the UAE and complete our verification. We will ask for:

  • Your trade licence
  • Certificate of incorporation or equivalent registration
  • Emirates ID and passport copies of the owners
  • Details of anyone who owns more than 10%
  • A business bank account in your business name, with the bank’s international details
  • Proof of business address and a primary contact

You are responsible for keeping this information accurate, and for telling us within 7 days if anything important changes. We may approve or decline any account.

4. Pricing

You pay a fee on each payment. There is no setup fee and no monthly fee. The fee depends on the method your client chooses.

Payment methodFee
Cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal, wallets6% + $0.40
Bank transfer (virtual bank account)3% (min $15)
Buy now, pay later (Klarna, Afterpay)12% + $0.40
Credit card EMI17% + $0.40

The fee is taken out of each payment automatically, so you never get a separate bill.

Example: You collect $5,000 by card. The fee is 6% of $5,000 plus $0.40, which is $300.40. The rest is settled to you.

Every tool you use to sell on Playto, including digital products, courses, communities, memberships, webinars, subscriptions, invoicing, and payment links, is included in this fee. There is no extra charge per tool.

5. When you get paid

Your payment partner settles funds directly to your business bank account, typically within 3 to 7 days of the payment, subject to bank processing times and any review.

Minimum payout: $200. Payout fee: $5 per payout on a supported local route, or $30 per payout on a SWIFT route, per payout.

6. Reserve

A reserve, where applied, is not a fee. It is your money, held for a short time against possible disputes and then returned to you. For high-value UAE merchants a reserve is applied case by case based on your risk profile, not as a blanket rule. If a reserve applies to your account, we will tell you the percentage and the holding period, and it is returned to you once the dispute window passes with no dispute.

7. Refunds

You set your own refund policy and can issue refunds anytime. A refund costs $5, and the original transaction fee is kept.

Example: You refund a $5,000 sale. Your client gets the full $5,000 back. You are charged the $5 refund fee, and the original fee on that sale is not returned.

8. Disputes and chargebacks

A dispute, also called a chargeback, is when a customer asks their bank to reverse a card payment. Handling a dispute costs $50 plus the original transaction fee, whatever the outcome.

  • Chargeback prevention is switched on by default on your account, at no extra setup cost.

Playto is connected to the card networks’ early-warning systems (Ethoca, Verifi, and Visa RDR). When a customer is about to dispute a payment, Playto is alerted first and can resolve it before it becomes a formal chargeback. When an alert is resolved this way, the fee is $50 plus the original transaction fee, the customer is refunded, and it does not count as a chargeback against your account. This protects your account, because too many chargebacks can get an account suspended.

9. Your responsibilities

You agree to use Playto only for lawful business, sell only what you are allowed to sell, describe your products honestly, deliver what your clients pay for, invoice your own clients correctly, keep your login secure, and respond to our compliance requests within 5 working days.

10. Businesses and activities we cannot support

You cannot use Playto for: gambling, cryptocurrency exchanges or unregulated digital assets, adult content, weapons, illegal drugs or controlled substances, tobacco or vaping, multi-level marketing or pyramid schemes, counterfeit or copyright-infringing goods, escort services, unlicensed financial services, political financing, predatory lending, products with false health claims, or anything illegal in the UAE or your client’s country. Fraud, money laundering, and using stolen cards are never allowed.

11. Countries we cannot serve

We cannot process payments from customers in sanctioned countries, including those on the United States, United Nations, European Union, and United Kingdom lists.

12. Holds, suspension, and closing an account

We may hold or close an account for fraud, a chargeback rate above the card network limits, false information, sanctions or legal risk, or breach of these terms. While an account is on hold you may not be able to transact or withdraw. We can close an account on 7 days’ notice, or immediately for fraud, sanctions, or serious legal risk. You can close your account anytime, and any balance is settled after fees, pending disputes, and any reserve.

13. Our responsibility, and yours

We work hard to keep Playto running, but we cannot promise it will never be interrupted, and we are not responsible for indirect or knock-on losses, or for problems caused by our partners or events outside our control. Our total responsibility to you for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the 6 months before the claim. You agree to cover us for losses caused by your breach of these terms, your products, your clients’ disputes, or your failure to follow the law.

14. Data and privacy

We handle your data under our Privacy Policy. You agree that we can share the information needed to run your account with our licensed payment and banking partners and with regulators where the law requires.

15. Changes and governing law

We may update these terms and will give notice of important changes. Continued use means you accept them. These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of West Bengal have jurisdiction. This will be revisited once Playto’s US entity is in place.
